| Description: | In this Distribution Center Equipment Operator position the successful candidate will use the warehouse management system (PKMS) to document put-away and task information to assure proper tracking and inventory information; and to locate, scan, and pull inventory utilizing various Company equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientation and trainings. Properly evaluate and sign-out various equipment including lift trucks prior to use by assessing condition and defined specifications. Load, pick and unload inventory onto or off racks, pallets, skids, conveyers and or lifting devices. Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas. Assist shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, Properly follow safety procedures. Perform routine inspection on equipment and refer needed repairs to supervisor. |
| Requirements: | High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience A valid driverâÃÂÃÂs license and clean driving record are required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions; and procedure manuals. Ability to write routing reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The performance of this position may occasional require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. |
